Critical technical practice - Critical technical practice is an approach of technological design proposed by Phil Agre where critical and cultural theories are brought to bear in the work of designers and engineers. One of the goals of critical technical practice is to increase awareness and critical reflection on the hidden assumptions, ideologies and values underlying technology design.

Diffusion (anthropology) - The diffusion of ideas or artifacts from one culture to another is a well-attested and uncontroversial concept of cultural anthropology. For example, the practice of agriculture is widely believed to have diffused from somewhere in the Middle East to all of Eurasia, less than 10,000 years ago.

Tarika - The Arabic word Ṭarīqah (طريقه, pl.: ṭuruq, طرق, also: tarika) means "way" or "path" and, in the Sufi tradition of Islam is conceptually related to Ḥaqīqah, or Truth, the ineffable ideal that is the pursuit of the tradition. Thus one starts at the Sharī`ah, the exoteric or mundane practice of Islam and adopts a tarika towards the Ḥaqīqah.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - In the United States of America, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) aka Advanced practice nurses (APNs) are Registered Nurses with advanced education, knowledge, skills, and scope of practice. APNs possess a master's or doctoral degree in nursing and may also sit for additional certification examinations.
